I am an articulator of dreams, through pen flowing over paper and fingertips across turntables. A builder of realities, I am passionate about changing the world through powerful narratives.
I am a writer, poet and musician with a bachelors from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. I began writing poems and song lyrics as a child in Houston, Texas, and I expanded into creative writing with short stories in middle school, then spoken word, novels and screenplays as an adult.
I am passionate about bringing powerful BIPOC-led stories to the forefront, inspiring society to imagine and strive for a better future.
I am currently querying my debut novel, The Drop, a speculative fiction thriller set in post-apocalyptic Texas in 2055. My story is driven by complex characters, evocative prose, classical dystopian themes and an expansive world. It’s The Fifth Season meets Parable of the Sower, with an action-packed, coming-of-age journey and gritty realism that fans of Road out of Winter will appreciate.
My other active projects include a quirky space comedy, Oops! We’re Alive…and BirthRight, a time-traveling exploration of race, identity, and family.
I live in Los Angeles with my spouse and two very energetic rescue puppies.
Writing Awards and Appearances:
